    All Faith Consortium

All Faith Consortium (AFC) is an ecumenical faith-based organization, headquartered in our Nations Capitol, serving citizens in the Washington Metropolitan area and in several major cities around the country. AFC has earned a reputation as a community leader in developing programs and facilitating solutions to help empower impoverished families and individuals to become self- sufficient. AFC's membership of more than 60 faith-based and community-based organizations is united in its commitment to achieve its national mission: "To use innovative approaches in assisting homeless veterans, single mothers, low-income adults, the elderly and youth in achieving permanent self-sufficiency in the areas of employment, training, literacy, housing, and other life-sustaining benefits." One of the reasons for AFC's effectiveness is its ability to provide services in a culturally competent and appropriate manner. AFC does not discriminate in its serving of clients, hiring of staff, or recruiting of volunteers on the grounds of race, color, religion, nationality, sex or political opinion. As an ecumenical faith-based organization, AFC respects the rights of individuals to practice any religion of their choosing, or no religion at all. AFC Board members, staff, and volunteers are united, not in our practice of religious beliefs, but in our commitment to fulfilling the mission of helping America's disadvantaged individuals achieve self-sufficiency.
