Making Cents is also a leader in building the youth microenterprise sector. Through the organization of learning opportunities and networks, Making Cents inspires youth, practitioners, policy makers, and funders to more effectively share and develop partnerships, programs and policies that support youth entrepreneurs. Making Cents International is seeking a motivated, creative, and committed candidate to work 15-40 hours per week through the fall of 2009 on the Youth-Inclusive Financial Services Linkage Program (YFS-Link). This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to gain significant experience working for a Washington, DC - based international development consulting firm, and exposure to the field of youth financial services, & more broadly the fields of entrepreneurship and enterprise development. BACKGROUND ON YFS-LINK PROGRAM YFS-Link will strengthen the sector by building the capacity of and creating opportunities for financial services providers and youth-serving organizations to design and deliver services that will provide youth with increased access to the critical financial services needed to climb the socio-economic ladder. YFS-LINK WILL: • Build and disseminate knowledge on youth-inclusive financial services through a global survey and a dynamic and interactive online platform • Translate knowledge of promising and proven practices into short training courses for financial service providers and youth-serving organizations • Disseminate training courses globally by partnering with and supporting regional training providers and technical services providers For more information on YFS-Link, visit www.makingcents.com/link
