The Niapele Project's mission is to support grass-roots initiatives that work to directly benefit refugee children so that they can have hope for a sustainable future.
We believe that we are all members of the human family and as such, it is our duty to help each other in times of crisis. If in our conscious existence we work at living socially conscious lives, we have the power to positively change the world we live in today and in the future. Acting in compassion and solidarity, we can progress towards a better way of existing, living in sustainable harmony with one another.
We believe in the spirit of peace, tolerance, freedom, equality, dignity and solidarity. We recognize that the inherent dignity and the equal inalienable rights of all members of the human family are the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.
In every country in the world there are children living exceptionally difficult lives. In general, a refugee child has a particularly challenging daily existence. There is a constant struggle for the basic necessities of life: security, stability, food, water, education, a home, harmony and hope. A person becomes a refugee from various causes: violent conflict, famine, poverty, persecution, natural disaster or war. A child refugee is the ultimate victim resulting from these circumstances as they survive off the compassion of their caretakers. We believe it takes a village to raise a child. And all of us, as part of a global community, are connected in some form in our existence.
Indeed, it takes all of us as members of the same human family to help our fellow brothers and sisters in crisis, to lend our hand in compassion and solidarity so that they can thrive not just survive and are empowered in striving for a sustainable and successful life.
