Created by model Annie Morton and Natalie Szapowalo, who happen to be sisters-in-law, Tsi~La (pronounced chee-la), is the abridged version of the word “atsilvsgi,” meaning “flower” in Cherokee. Tsi~La is the essence of nature – a marriage of organic freshness and pure plant botanicals that provide the foundation of the luxurious line. FOUNDERS: ANNIE MORTON AND NATALIE SZAPOWALO Model Annie Morton (whose campaign ads include Donna Karan, Givenchy, Blumarine, Sports Illustrated, Banana Republic, DKNY and Sisley, to name a few) and long-time friend and sister-in-law Natalie Szapowalo founded Tsi-La Natural Perfumery & Organics to create pure and natural products beneficial to one’s overall well-being. Working in the fashion industry for many years and drawing on knowledge from their extensive studies in natural health sciences and aromatherapy has enabled them to work side-by-side with renowned natural perfumers and cosmetic chemists to create this luxury product line. ARTISANAL EXPERIENCE The production of traditional fragrances and skin care products concerned Annie and Natalie due to their complex mixtures of synthetic chemicals. These chemicals can be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, threatening a person’s health and the environment.
