    Friendship Home

Friendship Home is Lincoln's shelter for women and their children who are victims of intimate partner violence. An internship at Friendship Home is a powerful opportunity for social work and psychology majors, as well as students interested in human services, criminal justice, education and healthcare fields. We work individually with students to develop an experience that is meaningful. We provide flexible scheduling, a scholarship to qualified students, and an opportunity to meet, work with and learn from women and children who have experienced domestic violence, one of today’s most serious and prevalent social problems. Past interns have co-facilitated support groups, answered crisis calls, provided advocacy to children, and helped with fundraisers.
