    All Nations Cup Community Liaison

    Sister Communities is seeking enthusiastic interns for the All Nations Cup 2008 soccer tournament and cultural festival! The internship provides exciting ways to gain hands-on experience in event planning, community organizing, public relations, media and sports marketing. Community Liaison -Work to recruit other core volunteers for participating communities -Outreach for fans, volunteers, community contacts, performers, etc. -Represent All Nations Cup at local and community events -Facilitate poster and flyer distribution -Help develop media contacts --Positions are available now — must be able to commit through August. --Interns must be able to work a minimum of 10 hrs/week upon hire. --In addition, interns must be able to work 20 hrs/week May – July as well as all event days. --Compensation: A small stipend/living allowance will be provided. --Car is a necessity for this position. --Preferred qualifications: proficiency in Mac as well as PC, experience with soccer, bilingual in Spanish, experience working with diverse communities, available during all event days, excitement for ANC and Sister Communities’ mission! All Nations Cup is a dynamic cultural community event and is held over two weeks in the summer. All Nations Cup features over 40 countries represented by their local communities, as well as a growing international festival of international music, dance, food, and youth activities for the whole family.
