The Hallmark Summer Internship Program is designed to give students knowledge and experience in their professional field of interest. Our interns have the opportunity to work as part of a team of world-class creative talent by creating actual product for Hallmark. Our creative interns also participate in creative workshops, studio tours, and events with key members of Hallmark creative and corporate management. We are interested in the following disciplines: Graphic Design, Web Design, Industrial Design, Sculpting/Fibers, Other 3D design/art majors, and Illustration/Animation. Our interns work in a fast-paced, creative environment. Each day, you will be surrounded by creative professionals, and will gain an understanding of consumer products and the dynamic challenge of the retail marketplace. The best thing: Our interns have a hand in creating fresh and innovative product solutions that could one day be sold in a Hallmark store or aisle! Possible studio assignments include: Greeting Cards; Gift Wrap/Party; Scrapbooks/Albums; Gifts/Tabletop; Packaging; Marketing Design; Web Design; Environmental Graphic Design You will partner with a mentor and be a part of the larger studio team. You will work daily with an Art Director and Editorial Director. You should enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and should bring fresh ideas and creativity to your role. LENGTH: The internship will be Monday, May 21 through Friday, August 3, 2007. REQUIREMENTS Completed junior year by May 2007; Authorized to work in the United States; At least a 3.0 GPA in your major/overall; Must prepare/submit a cover letter and resume; Must display excellent creativity/craftsmanship through a portfolio
