    Alliance for Community Trees

ACT is the only national organization solely focused on the needs of nonprofit and community organizations engaged in the fast-growing field of urban forestry. Urban forestry bridges conservation and community development, intertwining concerns for health, crime, education, and more. By directing resources where they are needed most- our cities, particularly underserved neighborhoods where crime is highest, property values the lowest, and health concerns are most poignant- ACT's work creates sustainable communities. Along with 110 community-based member organizations in 33 states (plus DC and Canada), our efforts and those of our member organizations are national and local, often on the neighborhood level. Together, ACT members have planted and cared for over 7.8 million trees with help 450,000 volunteers.
