The Political Intern will focus on supporting NARAL Pro-Choice America’s Political Department by conducting targeted research on federal and gubernatorial candidates and campaigns for the 2010 elections in addition to general administrative duties. Responsibilities Include: ? Assist with follow-up requests for information from our members and candidate’s campaigns; ? Assist in coordination of the NARAL Pro-Choice America electoral tracking process, including researching candidates and races, maintaining candidate and political filing systems and participating in on- and off-site meetings as necessary; ? Assist in maintaining and updating various spreadsheets and materials; ? General administrative duties and other duties as needed. Qualifications: ? Dem onstrated commitment to protecting a woman’s right to choose; ? A strong desire to be a part of the political process; ? Solid research skills, including capacity to use the Internet as an effective research tool; ? Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment; ? Attention to detail; ? Experience with Microsoft Access preferred. ? General computer proficiency.
