The Public Relations Intern provides support to the promotions staff. Right now there is a particular need for help creating a semi-monthly eNewsletter, writing press releases, conducting service surveys from prior clients, attending community events to promote company, attending company events, and assisting with street team promotional activity. Other support duties include performing internet research and compiling databases. The intern will play a crucial role in the BeDazzled Acting Company contacts with media: he/she will help in creating media list databases, create/update press kits, update the website and the company portfolio and organize mailings. The intern will also be responsible of evaluating campaigns by creating PR value reports and managing clip books. The intern will also have the opportunity to participate in brainstorming sessions when campaigns need to be launched or modified. Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is a must. College juniors and seniors studying English, journalism, marketing, or PR are encouraged to apply. A supreme command of the English language is vital to this position. The right candidate has an eagle eye’s attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and can meet deadlines with ease. We seek someone capable of working independently and on a team, who has strong communication skills (oral and written), and is highly organized. Prior experience is preferred, but is not required. Someone who is eager to learn and has an open mind will excel in this internship

BAC was founded in June of 2003 in Grambling, Louisiana. At the time of its establishment, the primary purpose of this company was to serve as a Theatrical Touring Company. Today, the company resides in Irving, Texas and its endeavors includes facilitating youth arts camps, teaching acting and dancing to various daycare facilities, performing plays, consulting aspiring and exposing actors, writers, & models, and assisting various groups with entertainment fundraisers.
