Milan Records is seeking an intern for their Marketing & New Media Department. This position is perfect for someone looking to get hands-on experience in the new media and marketing department of an established record label. Duties will include music and film research, communication with industry, digitization, website work, involvement in marketing meetings, and general support to the marketing/publicity departments. This will be for Fall 2007, beginning immediately. This is an unpaid internship for college credit only. Potential Intern should currently be pursuing a college degree and have a high level of interest or passion for music and film. Applicants should: be able to effectively communicate ideas, learn quickly and operate autonomously, and be well-versed in MS Office and Internet. HTML or web design knowledge is a plus. Milan Entertainment was founded in 1978 by Emmanuel Chamboredon, who is still to this day the CEO and President of the company. In the 1980's, Milan branched off to include Editions Milan Music and Editions Jade, the brand name under which all spiritual and classical music would fall. Seeing the need for a strong international presence in America, Milan US was established first in NYC in the late 1980s. It later relocated to LA and is situated now in Burbank. Editions Milan Music became the Milan Records that we know today, at the forefront of music and film with soundtrack releases like Pan's Labyrinth, The Queen, and Flags of Our Fathers, along with new artists releases, especially in the electronic genre, like Emilie Simon and 4hero, as well as the rock group West Indian Girl. Editions Jade became Jade Music, and a third sub-label known as Chicooligan is the brand name on which we release all Milan vinyl.
