This internship provides hands on experience in live, professional theatre at Ozark Actors Theatre. Interns work with the Executive Producer, Technical Director, and Assistant Technical Director and have opportunities to complete projects in all aspects of the theatre. Interns will gain experience in the following: scenic carpentry, scenic painting, hanging and focusing of a lighting plot, trouble-shooting of lighting instruments and cabling, and many different problem solving situations. Interns will also participate in production as members of the running crew, lighting board operator, and/or spot light operator. Candidates should possess strong skills in communication, multi-tasking, and problem solving.

Ozark Actors Theatre (OAT) is one of only two professional summer stock theatres in out state Missouri. Located in Rolla, OAT is a non-profit organization and a member of the League of St. Louis Theatres. Founded in 1987 by Gail Andrews-Hintz, a Rolla native returning from New York, and F. Reed Brown; along with a founding Board of Trustees consisting of citizens from Rolla, Cuba, Waynesville and other communities in south central Missouri, the desire of these interested citizens was to bring quality live professional theatre to the Ozarks.
